1. The agreement
By using northstackstudio.com or any of our products, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. These terms form a contract between you and Northstack Studio.
2. Your account
You must be at least 13 years old to use our services. Where an account is required, you are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for any activity under your account. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. What you can do
You may use our products for personal or commercial use, on as many devices as you own. You may not resell access, attempt to reverse-engineer our software, use the service to harass others, or use it in a way that violates applicable law.
4. Services & engagements
- Custom development engagements (mobile apps, SaaS, backend, AI agents) are governed by a separate written statement of work.
- Fees, timelines, deliverables, and IP ownership for engagements are defined in that statement of work and take precedence over these terms for that engagement.
- Our products (e.g. the Northstack Studio AI assistant app, the AI Core API) may be offered for free, on a subscription, or per usage. Pricing is always shown before you purchase.
- Auto-renewable subscriptions (App Store). The Northstack Studio app offers Premium Monthly (US$4.99 / month) and Premium Annual (US$34.99 / year). Prices may vary by region and are shown in the App Store before purchase.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within that 24-hour window.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription any time in your Apple ID Account Settings — deleting the app does not cancel it. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
- App Store purchases are also governed by Apple's Standard EULA. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods except where required by law; refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple.
5. Your content
Content you create or upload (notes, briefs, code, project files) remains yours. Conversations with the AI assistant are stored on your device and synced securely to your account so you can access them across your devices; you can delete them at any time. For content you share with us (contact submissions, project files for client engagements), you grant us a limited license only to store and use it to deliver the service. We will never read, sell, or train AI models on your private content.
6. Uptime & service changes
We aim for 99.9% monthly uptime on hosted services, but everything is provided "as is" without warranty. The AI assistant generates responses automatically and may sometimes be inaccurate or incomplete, so please do not rely on it as professional, legal, medical, or financial advice. We may add, change, or remove features. If we remove a paid feature you depended on, we will give you 60 days notice and prorate any refund owed.
7. Termination
You may close your account or end an engagement at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, abuse the service, or fail to pay. In serious cases (fraud, abuse), we may act without notice.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Northstack Studio operates. Any disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
10. Changes
We may update these terms occasionally. If the change is material, we will email you (for customers) or post a notice on this page at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the new terms.
